The reform, implemented by the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs & Ports Security (ICP), establishes a flat overstay fine of AED 50 per day for individuals who remain in the country beyond the validity of their visa. This replaces the previous system, under which penalties varied depending on visa type and issuing authority.
